Quakers took part in a wide range of events commemorate Hiroshima Day on 6 August

Quakers throughout Britain took part in a wide range of events on Tuesday to commemorate Hiroshima Day. Taunton Friends hosted a vigil in the town’s market square at noon to remember all those who lost their lives when the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima in 1945. Maldon Quaker Meeting House hosted an ecumenical Candle Service for Peace in the evening.
